I am Patsy and I have been sewing since the age of 9 years old, thanks to 4-H and my Mom. In 1981 I took my first quilting class and have been hooked ever since. The second quilt I made was even selected as an entry into the State Historical Society’s quilt show. In 1997 I realized I couldn’t possibly hand quilt all the quilt tops I wanted to make, so I bought a big quilting machine made by A-1 Quilting in Springfield, MO.
Though I no longer quilt for others, I have turned my passion to pampering guests who come to the retreat for relaxation and creativity.
It may be quilting, needlework, scrapbooking, or stamping. Whatever the creative outlet you choose, you will enjoy uninterupted time for you and your friends.
I can't wait to show you around the Homestead! I have been wanting to host retreats ever since I became inspired by Jennifer Chiaverini's books about a fictional retreat. |

Marty and Patsy McCluskey |
We opened our doors to the Homestead Cabin Retreat in February of 2005. I have lived in the hills of Sauk County all my life and here I chose to make my home with my husband Marty since 1978. Together we raised 3 children; Stacy, living in Ashland, Wisconsin, Brady who lives in Ashland, Wisconsin, and Cody and Amanda who live in Baraboo, Wisconsin. Please join us for an experience you won't soon forget.
