Hello from rural Wisconsin...

I am Patsy and I have been sewing since the age of 9 years old, thanks to 4-H and my Mom. In 1981 I took my first quilting class and have been hooked ever since. The second quilt I made was even selected as an entry into the State Historical Society’s quilt show. In 1997 I realized I couldn’t possibly hand quilt all the quilt tops I wanted to make, so I bought a big quilting machine made by A-1 Quilting in Springfield, MO.

Though I no longer quilt for others, I have turned my passion to pampering guests who come to the retreat for relaxation and creativity.

It may be quilting, needlework, scrapbooking, or stamping. Whatever the creative outlet you choose, you will enjoy uninterupted time for you and your friends.

I can't wait to show you around the Homestead! I have been wanting to host retreats ever since I became inspired by Jennifer Chiaverini's books about a fictional retreat.

We opened our doors to the Homestead Cabin Retreat in February of 2005 and have been host to many creative folks along the way.  The relaxing setting out in the woods, lends itself to a very calming cabin atmosphere.  It's a great place to escape from the city for just a weekend and rejuvenate your creative soul.  Get inspired by fellow guests.  We can accommodate up to 17 guests but cater to many small groups on the same weekend. You can come alone, or with a few friends, or book the whole place.  Please join us for an experience, you and your friends, will not soon forget.
